Ozone High Dose Therapy (OHT), also known as the "10 Pass" and Zotzmann method is a Multi-Pass Ozone Therapy that was created by an Austrian gynecologist named Dr. Johann Lahodny. It consists of extracting 200-220 ml of blood into a vacuum bottle, mixing it with 200-220 ml of ozone at a concentration of 70 mcg/ml, shaking the bottle and re-infusing the blood/ozone mixture into the patient under high pressure. This process is then repeated up to10 times, hence the name Multi Pass. The Multi Pass process takes between 1 to 2 hours to complete, up to 10,000 units of heparin is used, up to 2 liters (2,000 ml) of blood is drawn and mixed with the same amount of ozone. A total of 140,000 ug of ozone is administered during a successful 10 Pass treatment. Patients should be hydrated before and during the process by drinking plenty of water.
Multi Pass Ozone Therapy is a very powerful and safe treatment and one of its major effects is the production of energy. Since the Multi Pass method of ozone administration provides a greater amount of ozone to the body in a shorter amount of time, it better saturates the red blood cells with oxygen, which allows it to penetrate deeper into greater areas within the body.
Multi Pass Ozone Therapy is used to treat infections, inflammation, auto-immune disease, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and multiple neurologic conditions including Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, stroke, brain and spinal cord inflammation of various types. It is used to treat Lyme disease, shingles, recurrent herpes simplex, influenza and pneumonia.
