How Does Prolozone™ Work?

Pain will persist as long as connective tissue, which can be scarred, torn or overly stretched, remains damaged. The reason that some injuries completely heal and others don’t is directly related to circulation. In order for a damaged area of the body to regenerate and heal, it must have the three critical elements that only blood can provide: vitamins, minerals, and oxygen.

Of these elements, the most important is oxygen. Low levels of oxygen cause an accumulation of lactic acid, which is what causes pain. Prolozone works in three ways:

  • Homeopathic anti-inflammatory medications are injected into the injured area to reduce inflammation and swelling, which leads to increased circulation.
  • The injured area is treated with vitamins and minerals that are critical for healing.
  • The injured soft tissues, ligaments and tendons are infiltrated with oxygen in the form of ozone. The result is that these areas get what they need to heal. As they heal, the circulation to the areas is re-established, which then increases the blood supply and flow of nutrients, the stimulation of anabolic cells, fibroblasts, osteoblasts, and chondroblasts. These effects stimulate the tissues, ligaments and tendons to repair themselves by strengthening and tightening them, which results in stabilizing the injured area.

The response to Prolozone Therapy varies from person to person, but most patients only need from 3-5 treatments per injured area.
