Do you feel like a failure because you can’t seem to control your weight? Are you confused by all of the ever changing diet and nutritional information available? Have you tried the “trendy” diets that are a one-size fits all approach to weight loss that don’t target your individual needs?

Anyone can lose weight – that’s the easy part. There are many weight loss programs in existence today and for the most part they all work. However, losing weight is not the problem; keeping it off is the problem. In 2005, the Journal of the American Medical Association published a landmark study that compared the four most popular weight loss diets: The Atkins diet, the Ornish diet (low fat/vegetarian), the Zone diet, and the Weight Watcher’s diet. The results showed that no matter what weight loss diet was used, everyone lost an equal amount of weight. Similarly, no matter what weight loss diet was used, everyone regained the weight.

There are many reasons why we can’t control our weight and some of them may have nothing to do with food. Some of the many factors that may be contributing to weight problems and overall health are…….

  • Physiological Factors – We may have other underlying medical conditions, such as “hormonal imbalances” or we may be on medications that are causing weight gain.
  • Metabolic Factors – Most people gain weight because they have abnormally low metabolisms. Although some people are just born with low metabolisms, everyone’s metabolism gets lower as they get older. Also, when the body is put on a program and loses weight, it reacts to the weight loss by further lowering the metabolism.
  • Behavioral Factors – We may have routines and habits that are contributing to an unhealthy lifestyle and weight. A sedentary lifestyle (being a couch potato) falls in this category. Exercise is essential to controlling weight and preventing future health problems. It is also important to increase lean body mass and reduce fat mass in order to efficiently burn calories.
  • Environmental Factors – Our home and work environments play important roles in our health. We may be exposed to pollutants, chemicals and radiation.
  • Emotional Factors – Stress, anger, grief and joy are just some of the emotions that we may be expressing or hiding with food.
  • Nutritional Factors – Our bodies need to receive the proper nourishment and nutrients in order to function optimally.
  • Silent Pain Factor – Silent pain is the ongoing inflammation that we can’t feel or see and is the primary factor that spreads chronic disease. The more excess body fat that we have, the greater the amount of silent inflammation that exists throughout our bodies. The biochemical key to reducing excess body fat, and more importantly the likely onset of chronic disease, is managing silent pain.

At the AG PATEL MD “ARM” Center, we take weight loss very seriously. We are committed to helping our patients establish and reach their goals and achieving fantastic results. Permanent weight loss takes a commitment by patients to want to change their lives. At our Center, we can assist men and women in their endeavor to lose weight and maintain their weight loss through a comprehensive, medically directed and monitored Metabolic Weight Loss Management program that is comprised of the following four parts:

1. HCG Weight Loss Protocol – This protocol consists of taking small daily drops of HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) a glycoprotein hormone in conjunction with a low calorie daily diet of approximately 500 calories for a period of 28 days.

2. Ondamed™ Weight Loss Protocol – This protocol consists of eight (8) separate sessions of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy twice a week for 4 weeks normally done simultaneously with the HCG Weight Loss protocol.

3. The Fat Burner Injection –This non-invasive injection consists of a mixture of B vitamins, amino acids, and lipotropic agents that can be taken as frequently as once or twice a week. These “fat-burning” lipotropic agents help with weight loss by boosting energy and metabolism while increasing the removal of fat from the body.

4. The Zone™ Living Plan – This plan includes a clinically proven dietary approach, developed by Dr. Barry Sears, Medical Researcher and creator of the Zone™ Diet, that is measurable and quantifiable. The cornerstone of the program and the biochemical key to reducing excess body fat is maintaining hormonal balance to reduce silent inflammation (silent pain), which is ongoing inflammation that you can’t feel or see. The plan is made simple using the Zone™ Diet (daily balanced Zone™ meals and snacks), ultra-refined OmegaRx™ supplements (omega-3 essential fatty acids), patented OmegaZone™ Bars from Zone™ Labs, Polyphenols (powerful antioxidants) and condition-specific supplements combined with regular exercise such as walking.

In order to achieve maximum success with our Metabolic Weight Loss Management program, patients must realize that successful weight control is more than just weight loss. They must become aware of the factors that are contributing to their weight problems, challenge themselves with realistic goals and maintain the positive changes that will occur as part of a healthy lifestyle.
