How Does IVNT Work?

Intravenous Nutrient Therapy (IVNT) works by literally forcing the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other natural therapeutic substances into the cells by delivering them directly into the bloodstream bypassing the gastrointestinal tract. IVNT provides a “kick start” by making nutrients more readily available and easier to transport inside the cells. By providing a higher nutrient concentration in the blood than can be achieved with oral therapy, cells are no longer reliant on energy dependent mechanisms to transport the nutrients inside as they can enter cells via “passive transport” requiring less energy than “active transport”. Basically, the nutrients require less work to travel from high concentration to lower concentration. This is a great benefit for those who have digestive issues or a low tolerance to oral supplementation.

IVNT uses a 250 or 500cc saline/dextrose bag that is filled with the various nutrients being administered, generally giving it a yellow or orange hue. The bag’s contents are allowed to “drip” slowly into a small tube that delivers the nutrients through a needle into a vein on the hand or in the arm. In some cases, the nutrients are injected into the small tube in the vein using a syringe with a “push”.

Although oral supplementation is effective for maintaining or slightly increasing levels of nutrients, IVNT can significantly increase levels faster and for greater lengths of time. IVNT circumvents the problem of mal-absorption, gastrointestinal disease and liver dysfunction to allow the nutrients to have an immediate impact in the cells to improve health and wellness. IVNT is not only more effective for correcting nutrient deficiencies, but it can also result in immediate and long lasting effects (you feel good faster and longer).
